        • Withdrawing during the probationary periodProbationary periods are built into training contracts as a way of allowing trainees, apprentices and their employers to withdraw from the apprenticeship or traineeship if either you or your employer decide it is not for you.

        • Terminating an apprenticeship or traineeshipOnly Trainee and Apprenticeship Services (TAS) can terminate a Training Contract. TAS will generally approve a termination application if both the employer and the apprentice/trainee agree to the termination.
        • Changing employersSometimes there is a need to change employers while a training contract is under way. This may be because the business is sold to someone else – which means your training contract goes to the new employer.
        • Going from full time to part timeIf you were initially employed under a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship and have left school, or are no longer enrolled in SACE, you will need to change your contract.
        • Changing the number of work hoursIf your part-time arrangement (number of hours in work and training) needs to change, this change needs to be reflected on your training contract as it affects the term or duration of the training.
        • Changing training providersYou and your employer may decide that it is necessary to change your training provider. It might be that the provider hasn't been offering the service expected, or that mid-way through the term of the contract, they stop delivering the qualification in South Australia.

        • Changing employersSometimes there is a need to change employers while a training contract is under way. This might be due to a change of ownership or a change to a new employer.
        • Going from full time to part timeIf your apprentice or trainee was initially employed under a school based arrangement and has left school, or is no longer enrolled in SACE, you will need to apply to TAS to vary the contract from a part-time (school-based) apprenticeship or traineeship to a part-time or full-time (non-school-based) apprenticeship or traineeship.
        • Changing the number of work hoursIf the apprentice or trainee’s part-time arrangement (number of hours in work and training) needs to change, this change needs to be reflected on the training contract as it affects the term or duration of the training.

    Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) can apply to become a Skills for All Training Provider by requesting a system login using the Request for access to DFEEST online application form (PDF)

    This online system allows you to:

    • apply to become a Skills for All Training Provider
    • apply to add or remove qualifications on your Schedule of Courses
    • apply to add nationally endorsed Skill Sets to your schedule of courses, from 19 November 2013
    • access the Subsidy Calculators (TAFE SA and non-TAFE SA).
