Sometimes there is a need to change employers while a training contract is under way.  This may be because the business is sold to someone else – which means your training contract goes to the new employer.

A training contract may be transferred to another employer with the agreement of you, your current employer and your new employer. The new employer must be registered with TAS.

TAS must be notified by both the new and former employer of the change of business ownership within 21 days.

Complete the Transfer to a new employer application form and send it to TAS using the instructions on the form.

TAS will write to you to confirm the change, provided there is no break in service between employers.
