You may request a suspension to your apprenticeship ortraineeship for practical reasons such as non-work related injury or illness (beyond normal sick leave provisions), or personal reasons, such as travel overseas or birth of a child.
Employers may request a suspension for reasons such as a downturn in work or the relocation of business premises.
To apply to suspend your training contract, download the suspension application form (PDF). It needs to be completed and sent into TAS using the fax, email or postal address on the form.
Once approved, you will be notified of the decision in writing.
