Adult Learner of the Year - Sue Steer
Despite being ‘officially retired’ Sue is proof that it’s never too late to take up training and learn new skills. Having returned to study three years ago and focusing on community services, Sue has completed her Certificate II in Active Volunteering, Certificate III in Community Services Work and this year she successfully completed her Diploma in Community Services Coordination.
Sue has also been an active member of the Hackham West Community Centre’s Board of Management and works as a volunteer, helping others to succeed as well through being a mentor. Sue is an astute listener and observer and with these innate skills, she provides invaluable support to those she’s mentoring.
