Seminars, workshops and training sessions are held throughout the year to help with your professional development.
2012 events calendar
Skills for All Training providers and registered training providers (RTOs) are encouraged to participate in the DFEEST professional development calendar for 2012.
This year offers a structured program around a themed series. They are:
- The How to... series: exploring themes of competency building, aimed at all levels and covering standards, assessment, training packages, sustainability, copyright and innovation.
- The Leadership series: offering development for advanced practitioners.
- The Occasional series: offering contemporary professional development opportunities to different audiences. Topics will include current issues and directions such as Skills For All updates and a range of topical speakers. Invitations to these events will be sent throughout the year.
- The Spot Light series: targeted development opportunities for VET practitioners and RTO managers and include New Directions in VET, leadership and coaching and mentoring. Invitations will be sent throughout the year.
Practitioner level
Each professional development workshop is targeted to a specific audience within the following categories:
- Basic – aimed at the novice VET practitioner who has not been in the training industry very long. A basic level of awareness and understanding will be presented to develop the practitioner’s foundation skills.
- Intermediate – aimed at the established VET practitioner who has developed a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of the sector.
- Advanced – aimed at the VET practitioner who has an advanced knowledge of the VET system and may lead or mentor others in the training provider.
Fees
Each three-hour workshop is $88.00 (including GST).
Registration
You can register for more than one workshop at one time.
If more than one person from your organisation wishes to register for the same workshop, please fill out individual registration forms for separate tax invoices.
Workshop sessions will proceed with registrations of 12 or more participants; in the event that there are insufficient numbers for a session you will be contacted by telephone and an alternative session offered or a full refund provided.
Venue capacity is limited to 40 participants for each workshop. Early registration is recommended. If the workshop is full you can be placed on a waiting list by emailing dfeestqualitypd@sa.gov.au
Please Note: Your tax invoice verifies registration; you must bring this to the workshop.
Refund of fees
Refund of fees will be available when more than 24 hours’ notice is given prior to the commencement of the workshop. Phone 8226 0225.
If you are seeking a refund for a workshop, and have registered at the same time for more than one workshop using a credit card transaction, the amount refunded will be for all workshops.
Due to a system requirement you will need to re-register for the other workshops.
Alternatively, you may wish to transfer your refund into a registration for another workshop, providing there are places available, or you may transfer your registration to another employee within your organisation.
Certificates
Each person who has registered and verified their attendance at a workshop will receive a statement of attendance via email. Please allow up to 10 working days for the certificate to be sent.
