The Australian skilled migration program is designed to overcome the shortage of skilled workers in Australia.

Skilled Migration Program

If you are considering migrating to Australia under the Skilled Migration Program you will need to have your qualifications and/ or skills assessed "for migration purposes."

This process of assessment for migration is sometimes quite different from the processes you may be required to undertake in order to be able to work in your profession/ trade once you arrive in South Australia.

It is important that you obtain information about what will be required for you to gain employment in your chosen occupation (eg professional membership, registration, licensing etc) before you leave your home country. To arrive in South Australia without being prepared with the relevant documents and information can cause delays in you entering the workforce.

More information about skill recognition for migration purposes is available.

If you want information about what will be required for work in your skilled occupation, once you arrive in SA, call us on 1800 506 266.

For more information about South Australian government sponsorship visit South Australia. Make the move.

If you are a plumber, electrical worker (electrician) or refrigeration air conditioning mechanic and you choose South Australia as your destination when applying to migrate, there are many benefits.
