Skills for All Infoline
Even though you’re working full-time or part-time, you may be eligible for a government-funded training place for increasing your skills or retraining in a different field. With more skills, or different skills, you could find yourself in a better job with better pay. For information or guidance about where to go for information, call the Skills for All Infoline. One of the team will be able to talk you through choices and suggest a course of action.

Training providers
There are training providers across the state which offer courses.
Training.gov.au (TGA) is a database of vocational education and training (VET) providers in Australia. This national register has information on qualifications and courses, and registered training organisations.

TAFE SA course information sessions
TAFE SA is the largest training provider in the state. During January and February, it holds a range of course information sessions to help you make study choices for the career you want.
It’s your opportunity to meet with teaching staff, learn more about a course and discuss study options.

Make sure any previous experience or learning is recognised
If you’ve been employed, done some training or been a volunteer, you can talk to a training provider about having your current skills recognised and counted towards achieving a qualification.
This is called recognition of prior learning (RPL).
